About the Role

Capital One's Audit function is a dedicated group of professionals focused on delivering top-quality assurance services to the organisation’s Audit Committee. Audit's vision is to provide high value, independent, proactive insights, to innovate with technology, and to be a top-notch talent destination. We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated Senior Auditor interested in becoming part of our UK-based Global Payment Network Audit team. You will focus on conducting operational and compliance-related audits for our Global Payment Network business. Experience with card payments (Amex, Visa, Mastercard, etc.) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Own completion of components of payment network audits.
  • Develop engagement planning documentation and audit programs.
  • Design and execute audit procedures to verify internal control effectiveness.
  • Document auditee processes, review evidence, and identify potential issues.
  • Leverage data and analytical tools during audit planning and fieldwork.
  • Prepare clear documentation to support work performed, including drafting initial findings.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key business partners and the Audit group.
  • Communicate information and audit progress to the team and management.
  • Self-prioritize and plan work activities, managing multiple priorities to deliver quality results.
  • Proactively take on additional work to support the team.
  • Seek out learning opportunities to enhance skills and competencies.
  • Perform occasional and optional travel for audit engagements.

Requirements

  • Experience of either risk assessments or audits in payment networks.
  • Proven history of significantly contributing to the delivery of internal or external audit.
  • Proven skills in assessing business risks and identifying, designing, and executing risk-based testing.
  • Relentless focus on quality and timeliness.
  • Adaptability to change, embracing bold ideas, and challenging conventional thinking.
  • Ability to develop influential relationships based upon shared risk objectives and trust.
  • Understanding of data, innovation, and technology to enhance auditing.
  • Ability to create energy and an environment that fosters trust, collaboration, and belonging.
  • Leads by example and does the right thing.
