About the Role

Provide individual and group counseling and case management to adults and significant others adversely affected by substance use within the family. Ensure assigned cases are managed according to New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) Part 822 outpatient treatment guidelines. The role involves practicing core CASAC functions such as screening, intake, assessment, treatment planning, counseling, case management, crisis intervention, and more.

Responsibilities

Perform intakes and comprehensive evaluations according to OASAS Part 822 regulations and agency policies.
Review intake evaluations to assist clients with person-centered treatment plans.
Provide evidence-based individual counseling according to schedule.
Facilitate a minimum of 3 evidence-based groups with fidelity to curriculum.
Maintain accurate, complete, and timely records compliant with regulatory standards and agency policy.
Utilize collaborative documentation for client engagement and contemporaneous note completion.
Schedule, provide, and document Intensive Outpatient Services (IOP) as assigned.
Maintain an accurate filing system for program reporting to OASAS Client Data System and STARS.
Ensure all program staff uphold the agency's Code of Conduct and comply with federal, state, and local laws/regulations, including confidentiality and HIPAA.
Monitor and track toxicology samples per OASAS and referent standards.
Coordinate MAT and OTP services with the Medical Team.
Participate in Interdisciplinary Team Meetings for Case Conferences, Utilization Reviews, Quality Improvement, and Incident Review.
Actively participate in clinical supervisions for professional development and service optimization.
Cultivate linkages with other service providers and community-based resources.
Maintain credentials through professional development, including Continued Education, and timely recertification.
Follow training schedule and submit completion certificates when required.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

CASAC or CASAC-T required.
Minimum of 2 years of SUD service provision, preferably in an outpatient setting.
Understanding of MAT & OTP treatment protocols.
Naloxone, First Aid, and CPR certified.
Adept at working in an electronic medical record (EMR).
Strong clinical writing and organizational skills.
Strong computer literacy.
Compassion and dedication to supporting individuals on their recovery journey.
