About the Role
Frazer-Nash Consultancy is seeking to grow its radiation and nuclear engineering capability, offering opportunities to work on diverse projects across defense, healthcare, and energy. With Australia's significant investment in defense, particularly through the AUKUS pact, there is a prime opportunity for nuclear safety expertise, leading to fast career progression.
Responsibilities
- Support naval surface ship and submarine programs.
- Support the safety case development of Australia’s first Commonwealth radioactive waste disposal facility.
- Lead thinking on the assurance of autonomy.
- Develop an understanding of how machine learning can support safety engineering.
- Unlock existing transport regulatory frameworks to enable autonomous operations.
- Digitize system engineering support for increased productivity.
- Support the assurance of Australia’s commercial space related activities.
- Deliver safety and assurance programs for major rail infrastructure projects.
- Improve the efficiency of power generation and transmission through innovative modelling.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering/Science Degree or equivalent depth of training.
- Have or be eligible for UK or Australian security clearance.
- Safety and assurance knowledge and experience.
- Previous Defence maritime experience.
- Systems engineering knowledge and experience.
- Chartered Engineer Status.
- Excellent client management/stakeholder engagement skills or the aptitude to learn.
