About the Role
Individuals selected for this position are responsible for daily order selecting and merchandising of wholesale products, ensuring timely stocking for wholesale customers.
Responsibilities
- Correctly identify product by SKU, size, varietal, and rack bin location.
- Make necessary notes on invoices to show variances, changes, and out-of-stock products.
- Maintain control and integrity of pull cart to ensure no product is removed until the order is completely pulled.
- Maintain neat and orderly product rack areas while order selecting.
- Maintain pull cart staging area to ensure any order can be quickly verified upon checking.
- Pack wholesale order products neatly without damage to ensure integrity of item at delivery.
- Tag wholesale customer orders according to quantity of shipment.
- Maintain security and proper usage of all TABC stamps utilized for wholesale customer orders.
- Work with and maintain TABC stamp guns and machines.
- Restock supplies and utilize equipment when needed to ensure replenishment of products in the racks.
- Inform manager/lead of out-of-stocks or inventory variance on all items.
- Work with and maintain computer equipment.
- Assist in preparation for and execution of inventory processes.
- Practice teamwork and cooperation with coworkers.
- Seek to continually improve related skills and knowledge to contribute to profitability and productivity.
- Undertake responsibilities with care and attention to detail.
- Lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally in each shift.
- Properly utilize a dolly and/or pallet jack.
- Push or pull 50-100 pounds regularly.
- Carry out all directives given by the Management Team efficiently.
- Work in accordance with all safety regulations of Specs Family Partners and OSHA.
- Prioritize tasks and meet the demands of the day.
- Ensure attendance and timeliness.
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Perform other projects as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Must be over the age of 21.
- Must be a human being.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions or memos.
- Ability to talk and communicate with coworkers and guests.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in both whole numbers and in fractions and decimals without the aid of a calculator or abacus.
- Must be responsible, reliable, and committed to providing excellent service.
- Must have patience, friendliness, and an outgoing personality.
- Must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic.
- Must complete job assignments in a timely fashion and then look for the next task.
- Must be available to work any shift on Friday or Saturday.
- Must be available 80% or more of all shifts each week.
- Working outside of scheduled time without Store Manager approval is prohibited.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals who need them to perform the essential functions.
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with proper tools.
- Must be able to use an industrial machine to move pallets up to 2400 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must have excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Must have the ability to use a pallet jack, carts, and dollies.
- Must be able to lift and carry heavy items.
- Must be able to climb ladders.
- Must have a flexible schedule.
- Must be able to dolly merchandise.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced setting.
- Must be able to dolly, push, pull, and lift heavy merchandise.
- Must be fast on your feet.
- Must work well with others.
- Previous experience in order picking preferred.
- Familiarity with operating a standing pallet jack and standing forklift.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity targets.
