About the Role

PwC Australia is seeking a Tangible Asset Valuations Specialist to lead asset due diligence and valuation engagements. This role involves analyzing client data, conducting market research, performing financial modeling, and driving business development. You will work with leading teams, explore new technologies, and contribute to shaping the future.

Responsibilities

  • Lead asset due diligence and valuation engagements end-to-end, overseeing analysis, financial modeling, strategy development, project management, and quality assurance.
  • Direct complex asset valuations for mergers & acquisitions, purchase price accounting, fair value reporting, impairment testing, taxation, insurance, and financing purposes.
  • Oversee and conduct physical inspections of plant and equipment across domestic and international sites, managing logistics and resourcing.
  • Design, develop, and critically review valuation models and methodologies.
  • Lead and facilitate senior-level meetings with client management, stakeholders, and on-site personnel.
  • Champion the application and advancement of in-house data and analytics tools for services like Fixed Asset Register audits and CAPEX optimization.
  • Drive business development by originating client opportunities, leading proposal development, and managing key client relationships.
  • Build team capability through active mentoring, coaching, and technical development of junior and mid-level staff.

Requirements

  • Background in Corporate Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or equivalent STEM discipline, combined with a Business/Commerce degree.
  • Substantial experience and proven expertise in plant and equipment valuation.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and collaborative approach.
  • Membership or eligibility for professional bodies such as the American Society of Appraisers, Australian Property Institute, or Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
  • Experience with software suites like Microsoft Office, Power BI, Python, Tableau, or similar data analytics tools.
