About the Role

Security Officers are responsible for the safety and security of employees and guests at Windham Mountain Club and its contracted facilities. This includes monitoring, protecting, and securing physical facilities and assets, conducting patrols, and intervening in situations as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform resort-wide and residential safety and security services for community members, staff, and residents, ensuring safety and security on a 24/7/365 basis.
• Maintain security presence via vehicle and foot patrols to prevent, deter, and respond to incidents, securing resort facilities, properties, and contracted residential neighborhoods.
• Serve as first responder for criminal, fire, medical, and safety hazard incidents, assisting professional emergency responders.
• Perform safety and security services for special events including concerts, weddings, and competitions.
• Investigate and create detailed reports on security activities, assists, complaints, and concerns.
• Provide security for the movement of money within resort properties.
• Administer fire and burglar alarm systems, physical security systems, access control systems, and video surveillance systems.
• Conduct spot checks of various areas of Windham Mountain Club property throughout the work shift on a consistent yet unpredictable schedule.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance in issued uniforms, adhering to department policy.

Requirements

• Possess or obtain an active NY Security Guard License upon hire and maintain it throughout employment.
• Receive certification training through WMC Security Guard Training School if not already licensed by NY State.
• Possess a valid US Driver License with an acceptable driving record.
• Be alert, reliable, truthful, honest, polite, steadfast, and attentive.
• Manage confidential information with discretion.
• Ability to keep calm in stressful, noisy, and crowded situations.
• Maintain professional conduct in dynamic environments.
• Ability to fulfill a variety of shifts and work periods, including days, evenings, overnight shifts, weekdays, weekends, holidays, and special events.
• Must be able to lift and maneuver up to 60 pounds.
• Must be able to stand and walk for up to 8 hours.
• Must be able to safely walk, climb, and navigate uneven terrain with snow and ice-covered hills and surfaces.
• Must be able to work outdoors in adverse winter weather conditions for extended periods.
• Must be able to push, pull, stoop, kneel, squat, and reach regularly.
• Must be able to regularly climb stairs and ladders.

• $22.00 per hour to $28.00 per hour
• $20.00 per hour probationary training rate
