About the Role
As the Founding Head of Operations, you will be the operating backbone of the company, turning strategy into execution and building the infrastructure for a regulated healthcare company to move fast without breaking. You will own special projects, compliance and billing, revenue cycle management, and analytics and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Run special projects end-to-end
- Drive hiring and onboarding
- Support fundraising and board prep
- Own cross-functional threads that keep the company moving
- Stand up compliance and billing infrastructure (HIPAA, BAA, OIG review, SOC 2, entity and TIN, Medicare enrollment, consent and copay workflows, audit-ready documentation)
- Manage the day-to-day revenue cycle (time tracking, claims submission, acceptance, denials, days to cash)
- Build the reporting backbone to track outcomes and leading indicators
- Run the weekly operational cadence
- Provide a clear picture of performance to the team and board
Requirements
- Generalist operator who can handle both strategic projects and detailed workflows
- Hands-on clinical billing experience, including running Medicare, Medicaid, or commercial billing, documentation, credentialing, and denials
- High agency; ability to figure things out, move fast, and achieve progress without perfect conditions
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and chaos with clear goals and autonomy
- Proactive in identifying and fixing broken processes or missing systems
- Low ego and high output
- Comfort with intensity and ownership at an early-stage company
