About the Role

Under the supervision of the Management team, the Overnight Supervisor provides daily direction to the Outfitters on the overnight shift within the retail store, focusing on sales floor replenishment, merchandise presentation, seasonal resets, inventory management, and price change execution.

Responsibilities

• Delegates tasks and work assignments to team members, providing clear direction and ensuring proper execution.
• Ensures team members adhere to standard operating procedures and processes, offering training and guidance as needed.
• Maintains visual presentation standards, including signage, merchandise directives, planograms, recovering, and daily recovery to ensure a positive customer shopping experience.
• Ensures nightly replenishment of the sales floor from backstock, Distribution Centers, and direct vendor deliveries.
• Supports inventory management by completing on-demand counts, empty peg scanning, pick requests, and display integrity checks during off-peak overnight business.
• Assists the Management team with coordination of 'Special Events', maintenance of pricing and UPC integrity, determining proper assortments, inventory accuracy, and proper display, tagging, signing, and pricing of advertised items.
• Supports the Management team in carrying out supervisory responsibilities, including interviewing, training, planning, assigning work, evaluating performance, addressing complaints, and resolving problems to maintain a positive, harassment-free environment.
• Assists the Management team and HR in staffing the department with service-oriented associates, participating in interviews, making recommendations, coordinating training, providing input on performance appraisals, preparing weekly schedules, and coaching associates.
• Ensures all breaks and lunches are provided for overnight Outfitters in accordance with state and local regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Availability to work overnight shifts.

Skills

• Ability to read and analyze certain reports.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from Managers, Outfitters, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to conduct meetings and presentations to groups.
• Proficiency with PC-based word processing, spreadsheets, data-based management, and inventory management systems.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, Outfitters, customers, and the Base Camp team.
