About the Role

As a Solution Architect (w/m/d), you will significantly support the digital transformation in the public sector, addressing challenges in public administration, healthcare, and national security. You will quickly understand the requirements of public clients and develop excellent, reusable solutions using the latest technologies to create tangible added value for the state and administration.

Responsibilities

• Design technical solution concepts for cross-sector digital applications for use in public healthcare and administrative organizations at federal, state, and local levels.
• Collaborate closely with authorities, public institutions, and specialist partners.
• Analyze organizational and administrative requirements.
• Develop viable architectures for digital supply.
• Act as the central point of contact at the interface between architecture, project implementation, and stakeholder management.
• Capture and analyze requirements.
• Examine technical feasibility.
• Develop solution options and effort estimations in collaboration with partners from administration, the public sector, and the tech scene.
• Validate project proposals by examining and evaluating initiatives from organizations in public administration, healthcare, and national security.
• Conduct strategic feasibility studies and partner scouting.
• Analyze project feasibility.
• Identify potential implementation partners.
• Ensure alignment with the overall strategy for the public sector, including ensuring sovereignty, reducing technical and economic dependencies, avoiding silos and redundant developments, product orientation, and easy reusability.
• Independently plan, manage, and execute cutting-edge projects for the technological transformation of the public sector.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, focusing on AI and cloud as well as future technologies like Agentic AI and Quantum Computing.
• Proactively contribute to the strategic and conceptual development of GovTech Deutschland, supporting project, program, and organizational development.
• Strategically identify and acquire new services and applications within the context of the two administrative and health platforms.

Requirements

• Excellent academic degree in (Business) Informatics, Natural Sciences, Engineering, or a comparable field.
• Outstanding analytical thinking skills.
• Strong conceptual abilities.
• Independent, structured, and highly solution-oriented approach to work.
• Deep technical know-how, particularly in Cloud and/or Artificial Intelligence (AI).
• Sound knowledge and several years of professional experience in classic and agile IT project management, process modeling, and requirements engineering for information systems in public administration or healthcare.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to interact confidently with stakeholders from administration, technology, research, and healthcare on an equal footing.
• Genuine team player with a willingness for cross-functional collaboration, especially in the interplay of IT, medicine, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent written and spoken German and English skills.
