About the Role
U-Haul is seeking skilled technicians to maintain the newest fleet in the industry, ensuring top condition for customers. This role involves performing maintenance on U-Haul trailers and Ford and GMC trucks, offering opportunities for career growth and continuous learning through a dedicated training program.
Responsibilities
- Secure trailers on lifts and dollies.
- Perform tire and brake maintenance.
- Rebuild and repair braking systems and trailer components.
- Dismount, balance and mount tires.
- Occasionally road-test vehicles.
- Work on a production line.
- Use proprietary electronic pre-inspection and repair checklist.
- Lend assistance in additional areas as necessary, following supervisor directives.
Requirements
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- 1-2 years of repair experience preferred.
- Driver's license.
- Ability to work as part of a team and individually.
- Basic computer skills.
- Regular attendance.
- Must not use nicotine products (hiring practice varies by state).
