About the Role

This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, developing strategic plans for expansion, creating effective marketing and communication plans, and ensuring bank product offerings and service support meet client expectations. It involves leading complex Request for Proposal processes, building partnerships with business partners and key client decision makers, and conducting portfolio business reviews focused on revenue realization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of clients.

  • Develop effective marketing and communication plans.
  • Ensure bank product offerings and service support meet client expectations.
  • Serve as a lead in coordinating complex Request for Proposal processes with Treasury Sales teams.
  • Build partnerships with business partners and key client decision makers.
  • Complete portfolio business reviews with a focus on revenue realization.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with Middle Market clients.
  • Retain and grow existing revenue.
  • Seek opportunities to deepen solutions per relationship.
  • Manage pricing and profitability.
  • Direct phone/web-based client calling.
  • Deliver integrated treasury solutions to clients within an assigned portfolio.
  • Partner closely with client-facing teammates to consult on sales opportunities.
  • Provide product expertise and consultation to deliver the best possible solution to the client.
  • Actively manage and pursue treasury revenue streams.
  • Increase product penetration across an assigned portfolio.
  • Coordinate regular relationship review meetings with the client team.
  • Identify process inefficiencies, improvements, and industry initiatives that would benefit the client.
  • Maintain client focus, treasury industry expertise, client subsector expertise, and a broad understanding of the bank's structure.
  • Drive revenue and profitability growth by identifying new opportunities and supporting clients with strategic and tactical needs.
  • Develop data-driven insights and presentations for clients, including recommendations to reduce risk, improve working capital, and digitization of payments/receipts.
  • Participate in the Client Management Process focusing on client relationship development.
  • Build relationships with internal business partners and key client decision makers.
  • Ensure service and fulfillment related requests/queries are directed to the relevant teams.
  • Respond to all client and partner requests in a timely manner.
  • Keep stakeholders up-to-date on progress.
  • Maintain pricing for clients (pricing changes, new services).
  • Ensure all products and services are billed accordingly.
  • Manage client escalations and keep the internal team informed.
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities through account analysis and regular client interaction.
  • Protect and grow revenue.

Requirements

  • 3 years of prior treasury sales experience.
  • Product and financial acumen.
  • Ability to interact with and influence people internally and externally through expert use of verbal and written communication and strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to read and leverage data to proactively identify trends and opportunities.
  • Strong ability to organize, prioritize, and balance multiple sales activities.
  • Deep understanding of bank structure and the operational aspects of global cash management products and services.
  • Understanding of and adherence to risk guidelines to proficiently identify, manage and escalate risk to grow the business responsibly.
  • Passionate curiosity, courage, knowledge of bank network, and effective business partnering.
