Responsibilities
- Provides technical assistance on equipment maintenance and repair of many types and brands of warm and cold laboratory equipment products.
- Ensures laboratory equipment operates to manufacturer and customers’ requirements.
- Uses precision measuring tools for diagnostic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
- Documents service and installation activities by completing work orders, maintenance checklists, and daily time sheets.
- Performs IQ/OQ/PQ, Validations, and equipment qualifications.
- Performs equipment installations according to manufacturer requirements.
- Serves as the primary service and maintenance contact for LSS service customers.
- Ensures customer satisfaction by performing skilled maintenance and repair services.
- Interprets piping and electrical schematics and utilizes a variety of hand tools and instruments to evaluate equipment.
- Diagnoses and analyzes control circuits on a variety of laboratory equipment.
- Operates and navigates control systems.
- Troubleshoots complex control circuits on laboratory equipment.
- Performs scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance inspections, installations, and service requests, including part replacements.
- Performs precision calibration of various laboratory equipment.
- Reads, understands, and follows company SOPs for all work.
- Diagnoses and repairs refrigeration systems and control systems, utilizing knowledge of electronics, digital controls, cascade and basic refrigeration theory, and control and mechanical techniques.
- Represents the company by serving as the direct customer contact and communicates effectively with customers during on-site services.
- Identifies, analyzes, and repairs laboratory equipment at customer’s laboratory setting.
- Utilizes software, technology, hand tools, and metrology instrumentation, and follows schematics to perform basic diagnoses of units.
- Performs refrigerant recovery and charging on refrigeration systems.
- Applies techniques to use pressure gauges and interprets measurement findings.
- Participates in on-call rotation schedule.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of transferable work experience.
- High school diploma.
- Completed HVACR trade school training, or equivalent.
- EPA certification TYPE I & II required, Universal certification preferred.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Temperature mapping preferred.
