About the Role
The Warehouse Launch Associate is responsible for the physical setup and operational training of new satellite warehouse launches. This role ensures each new site is fully prepared, both physically and operationally, for day one.
Responsibilities
- Set up the physical space, including racking layouts, staging areas, and floor markings.
- Track, order, receive, and assemble necessary consumables, safety gear, and equipment.
- Configure printers and scanners, and map warehouse locations in the WMS.
- Manage day-to-day facility needs such as trash and recycling.
- Address questions and concerns from the new site team during setup.
- Train warehouse and last-mile teams on receiving, put-away, picking, route execution, delivery procedures, and customer-facing standards.
- Conduct and certify forklift operators through hands-on training.
- Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), job aids, and course content in the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Document successful processes and areas for improvement to enhance future launches.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in warehouse operations, facilities setup, logistics, or operational training.
- Hands-on comfort with physical labor, including racking, floor taping, and moving equipment.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Strong presentation and coaching skills, with experience leading training sessions.
- Baseline technical literacy, including configuring basic hardware and navigating WMS/LMS software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently to launching sites.
