About the Role

Re:Build AppliedLogix is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support clients in the electrification, energy, and mobility industries. You will perform clean-sheet designs, including requirements collection, conceptual brainstorming, design modeling, and prototyping.

Responsibilities

• Carry out clean-sheet designs for various client applications.
• Elicit and document technical requirements.
• Perform conceptual brainstorming.
• Conduct design modeling and detailing using SolidWorks.
• Undertake prototyping and verification.
• Perform Thermal and FEA modeling.
• Design, simulate, manufacture, and test mechanical solutions.
• Develop manufacturing tooling and process parameters.
• Support the AppliedLogix Electronics Group with PCB packaging solutions.
• Create and carry out test plans to inform data-driven decisions.
• Document and transfer Mechanical work packages and project deliverables to the client.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
• A minimum of 10 years experience in a design engineering role.
• Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for customer success.
• Strong communications and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to contribute to multiple projects concurrently.
• Ability to apply technical experience and a research and development mindset to unfamiliar applications.
• Experience designing systems / solutions with electrical / thermal / environmental / user requirements.
• Solid understanding of the principles and application of DFM / DFA.
• Experienced user of CAD packages, SolidWorks preferred.
• Experience developing manufacturing tools and processes.
• Ability to travel up to 10% for customer or manufacturing-site collaboration.
