About the Role

This role implements a planned giving program and manages the RaisersEdge membership database within a multi-faceted fundraising program, reporting to the Executive Director.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains RaisersEdge Database, including updating and running queries and exports, accurate reporting, monitoring data, and tracking member and prospect records.
  • Processes gifts, produces gift receipts, updates addresses and donor levels in RaisersEdge, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in data entry.
  • Reviews invoices and payables for precision.
  • Records and processes payments using QuickBooks.
  • Administers planned giving program, including mail campaigns, material design and production, gift processing, acknowledgments, and personal outreach, under the supervision of the Executive Director.
  • Maintains financial accuracy and assists the Executive Director with year-end audit and tax filings.
  • Enters new member records, updates current member records, and monitors database performance.
  • Assists the Development Director with special event preparation for events such as Fellow Appreciation Receptions, black-tie functions, and committee meetings.
  • Coordinates aspects of the membership recruitment and renewal programs.
  • Aligns work duties with the Bar Foundation mission and exemplifies the Bar Foundation’s values and culture of teamwork.

Requirements

  • Three or more years of professional non-profit experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, Excel, and RaisersEdge.
  • Vigilant attention to detail.
  • High level of courtesy and discretion.
  • Entrepreneurial and strategic attitude toward fundraising.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently and with a team.
  • Active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and/or professional associations preferred.
