About the Role

The Business Development Coordinator supports the business development (BD) team with client and prospective client requests, event logistics coordination, and departmental system maintenance. This position works with members of the BD team to provide administrative business development support to attorneys in the designated practice groups.

Responsibilities

  • Compile client and prospective client requested information and draft responses for requests for proposals (RFP’s) and pitches, track results and prepare summary reports
  • Track client information in the client relationship management (CRM) system
  • Collect and coordinate matter tracking information in the firm’s central matter tracking system
  • Assist with event management and logistics, including supporting speaker outreach and coordination, program management, reporting and various logistics
  • Coordinate webinars, including coordinating with the marketing team to prepare invitation, compiling invite list in CRM system, securing CLE credit, liaising with lawyers on materials, and handling logistics for execution of the webinar
  • Gather information and details for legal directory and league table submissions and draft entries for legal awards and nominations
  • Create and update business development collateral, including brochures, one-pagers and presentations
  • Assist with developing agendas and collating notes for internal practice and team meetings
  • Prepare lists for targeting from our internal CRM and other external platforms for various events and initiatives
  • Assist with various administrative and project management tasks
  • Develop strong working relationships with practice attorneys and other members of the BD team
  • Compile business, industry, and client intelligence research in support of new business opportunities

Requirements

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information

Skills

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Familiarity with client relationship management (CRM) software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
