About the Role
The Senior Electrical Project Manager will lead electrical related deliverables on projects, overseeing project teams and managing scope, cost, and schedule. Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of electrical construction projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.
- Assist in the development and management of project strategic plans and program initiatives.
- Act as Owner’s Advisor with primary responsibility for all phases of project.
- Manage overall planning, design, and construction process and orchestrate all activities related to design and construction.
- Guide Clients through design and construction complexities, focusing on ownership priorities, logistics, sequencing, and design management.
- Coordinate with the Architect, Contractor, and other project team members to meet project objectives and resolve issues.
- Lead all elements related to contracts, including negotiating, drafting, and executing.
- Manage overall project budget and schedule, reporting regularly to the project team and client.
- Lead proposal review, leveling, and analysis, presenting findings to the Client.
- Lead selection processes for consultants and vendors, including RFQ/RFP preparation, research, and negotiation of business terms.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred.
- 9+ years of electrical construction project management experience.
- Experience managing large-scale corporate fit-out, healthcare, mission-critical, data center, higher education, or infrastructure projects.
- Experience with AV (audio-visual) systems, structured cabling, low-voltage systems, and IT-related electrical infrastructure, including coordination with technology integrators and network teams.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, codes, and industry standards.
- Proven experience managing projects with significant electrical scopes and multi-million-dollar budgets.
- Firm knowledge and understanding of construction methods, materials and sequences, and architectural/construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as business presentation skills.
- Ability to effectively interface with all levels of management and staff across organizational lines.
- Excellent analytical skills and demonstrated success in building team relationships and partnerships.
