About the Role

The Director of Wellness oversees clinical and administrative teams in the private client department, managing clients in private homes and facilities. This role elevates client quality of life through individualized healthcare, wellness initiatives, and a supportive atmosphere. The Director collaborates with clients and referral sources to facilitate enrollment and integrates sales, operations, and healthcare services.

Responsibilities

Ensure effective orientation and training of new hires in collaboration with the DPS.
Provide regular feedback to the DPS on new hire progress.
Craft and present an engaging value proposition to prospective residents and their families.
Architect and publicize informative seminars and workshops for clients, prospective clients, and their families.
Develop, grow, and effectively market all lines of service, including specialized disease-specific programming.
Generate and distribute informative materials concerning health enhancement, illness prevention, and graceful aging.
Utilize Salesforce for prospect management and follow-up.
Supervise daily operations, ensuring caregiver and client safety and satisfaction.
Oversee pre-billing reports and collaborate with the coordination team to resolve issues.
Maintain high standards for documentation and reporting for all staff through regular auditing and review.
Evaluate clinical and non-clinical staff to maintain productivity and provide support.
Ensure consistent and appropriate communication with facility Executive Teams.
Address client healthcare requirements and inquiries.
Create and execute a comprehensive wellness program tailored to individual client needs.
Stay current with the latest senior health and wellness advancements.
Maintain consistent communication with clients, families, and medical experts.
Supervise departmental operations focusing on promoting the health and well-being of private clients.
Provide consistent oversight and follow-up for overtime evaluation.
Audit cluster utilization, documentation, and internal spreadsheets and report to the DPS.
Conduct daily meetings with the coordination team and formal weekly meetings with each department.
Complete monthly departmental reporting.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the DPS.

Requirements

Active, unencumbered RN license in the State of NY
CPR and First Aid certification
5+ years of nursing management experience
Excellent customer service, communication, and clinical skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology, health promotion, age-related health conditions, and regulatory standards for skilled nursing and assisted living.
Empathetic and patient-centered approach to caregiving, valuing dignity and individuality.
Exceptional operations skills in a senior living environment with meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and build positive relationships.
Proficiency in using technology for record-keeping, communication, and data management.
Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends.
