Responsibilities
- Perform a vital part in resolving complex laboratory problems.
- Follow standard operating procedures for ordering, crediting, noting out, and canceling tests in the laboratory information system.
- Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement effective solutions.
- Work in a laboratory environment with biological hazards and PPE requirements.
- Champion safety, compliance, and quality control.
Requirements
- At minimum an associate’s degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.
- Previous training or experience in specimen collection or processing.
- Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- This role will have routine access to Protected Health Information (PHI). Employees will be trained on reasonable safeguards and are expected to maintain strict confidentiality, as well as abide by all applicable privacy and security standards. Employees are expected only to access PHI when it is required to fulfill job duties.

- Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology
- Bachelor of Science in Chemical, Biological, or Physical Science with 1 year of Medical Technology training
