Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial and residential structures.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and explain all problems and options to clients.
- Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals.
- Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies.
- Follow building plans and blueprints.
- Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems.
- Prepare budgets and cost estimates.
- Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed, and materials used.
- Train apprentices and helpers.
- Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by all health and safety rules and regulations.
- Adhere to all federal, provincial, municipal and city plumbing codes.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- A Licensed Plumber with 2-3 years of experience.
- Experience with Residential Plumbing work is an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to work as part of a team alongside other technicians (e.g., electricians, framers, etc.).
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Good manual dexterity.
- Strong attention to detail and precision.
- Ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings.
- Valid G Driving License and clean driving record.
- Ability to be available on call during weekends and on holidays as required.
