About the Role
SkyWater is seeking a multi-talented Senior Staff Technician Maintenance Mechanic - Fab Facilities FM to join our Fab 25 location in Austin, TX. This role is crucial for maintaining our fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and unscheduled maintenance as part of the Facilities Trouble Call Team.
- Professionally interface with customers for maintenance and repairs.
- Plan and complete tasks efficiently.
- Order, receive, and track materials and equipment for maintenance projects.
- Work within defined technical processes and procedures.
Requirements
- Direct experience performing maintenance in a fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with clean room requirements and protocols.
- Familiarity with high purity materials and fabrication methods.
- Hands-on experience in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and/or TIG welding.
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot equipment.
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
- Attention to detail, collaborative, organized, and a sense of urgency.
- Able to learn and use software to order materials and equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend and reach.
- Ability to climb ladders.
- Ability to walk throughout the shift.
