About the Role
Canadian Hearing Services (CHS) is seeking a Supervisor, Hearing Care Counselling to provide leadership and support to counselling staff, ensuring services meet organizational, professional, and funder standards. This role offers clinical and operational leadership to a dispersed team, focusing on person-centered services for clients who are Deaf, deafened, hard of hearing, or older adults.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and support to counselling staff.
- Deliver services in accordance with organizational standards, professional practice requirements, and funder expectations.
- Provide clinical and operational leadership to a provincially dispersed team.
- Support staff in delivering person-centered services.
- Manage performance.
- Facilitate staff development.
- Consult on complex client situations.
- Monitor program outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with professional standards, policies, and legislative requirements.
- Write reports.
- Develop presentations.
- Engage in advocacy.
- Manage stakeholder relationships.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- Access to a vehicle.
- Must be legally eligible for employment in Canada.
- Vaccines (COVID and others) are a requirement of the job unless an exemption on medical grounds pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code is provided.
