About the Role

We are a consumer protection law firm providing representation to consumers who have been harassed or deceived by creditors and debt collectors. This role offers the opportunity to develop your career in a practice rich in variety and challenges, working with talented people who share a passion for professionalism and growth.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and supervise a heavy and diversified caseload of the Firm’s clients in New York.
• Communicate with clients regarding their respective matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, review and draft agreements.
• Communicate with opposing parties to resolve/settle claims.
• Conduct legal research related to simple and complex issues in contract law and other areas of consumer law.
• Travel for in-court appearances.

Requirements

• Must be currently admitted to practice law in New York.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm.
• Must possess superior organizational and time-management skills to meet strict deadlines.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Highest ethical standards and professional integrity.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work easily with senior management and employees at all levels throughout the organization.
• Strong legal research skills.

Skills

• Proficiency in LexisNexis is a plus.
