About the Role
The Lead Landscape Designer & Sales role guides clients from initial inquiry to approved build plans, creating site-accurate 2D/3D renderings with native plantings and eco-friendly features.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for prospective clients, conducting initial site analyses, taking property measurements, recording topography, and photographing project sites.
- Walk clients through their vision, budget parameters, and site dynamics during initial consultations.
- Maintain regular weekly touchpoints to keep clients informed on design queue statuses and revision timelines.
- Draft schematic landscape and hardscape concepts in collaboration with team leadership.
- Deliver complete design packages, including boundary and structure scale drawings, hardscape layouts, detailed planting plans, and utility layouts.
- Lead initial design presentations and manage client feedback through structured revision phases.
- Calculate and compile precise spatial data to build accurate project estimates and project margins.
- Share project scopes, drawings, and client goals with the production team.
- Maintain daily time tracking by project, provide daily schedule/communication updates, and share end-of-day project screenshots.
- Actively communicate via team channels to clarify project scopes, resolve site challenges, and continuously refine design standards.
Requirements
- Landscape Architecture degree and/or 2 years experience in design.
- Proficiency with SketchUp, Lumion, and other rendering tools.
- Familiarity with bidding projects.
- Ability to work in the field (lift over 80 LBS frequently, dig holes, and move wheel barrows).
- An open mind and open heart.
