About the Role
Rain is hiring a Senior Product Manager to own our onchain surface — the blockchain layer that everything else at Rain depends on. This role owns the end-to-end onchain product, including smart contracts and protocol design, chain and asset integrations, settlement and treasury flows, and the underlying infrastructure. You will work closely with engineering, security, compliance, legal, and partners.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive the roadmap for Rain's onchain product, including smart contracts, chain and asset coverage, settlement, and payments.
- Partner with engineering on protocol and infrastructure tradeoffs and translate them into partner-facing product decisions.
- Determine which chains, assets, and stablecoins Rain supports based on liquidity, security, cost, partner demand, compliance, and regulatory exposure.
- Drive the security bar for onchain work, including audits, monitoring, incident response, and operational guardrails.
- Translate complex protocol and blockchain infrastructure into intuitive product surfaces and clear partner-facing documentation.
- Gather and distill partner feedback into sharp prioritization and drive the team toward high-leverage work.
- Measure adoption, iterate quickly, and set a high standard for the team.
Requirements
- 8-10 years of product management experience, with a track record of shipping products from zero-to-one through scale at a product-led company with a strong engineering culture and high bar for quality.
- Deep, hands-on blockchain fluency, including experience shipping onchain products and reasoning about EVM and Solana mechanics, smart contract design and upgrade patterns, gas economics, and bridging models.
- Exceptional product judgment and analytical rigor.
- A senior, autonomous operator who can define problems, drive plans, and own outcomes with minimal direction.
- Sound instincts on onchain security and risk, including weighing shipping deadlines against real risks.
- Strong technical fluency beyond the chain itself (APIs, distributed systems, payments and ledger design).
- Genuinely excited to live in the details and ensure product quality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with sophisticated external partners and internal engineering teams.
- Proven ability to ship quickly, measure adoption, and iterate in a fast-moving environment.
