About the Role
Confido is the AI infrastructure powering modern CPG brands, unifying finance, accounting, sales, and operations. As a Senior Applied AI / ML Engineer, you will own AI problems end-to-end, focusing on document understanding, forecasting, and agentic workflows using a rich, messy dataset.
Responsibilities
- Build LLM systems to transform complex financial documents into clean, validated data.
- Design agentic workflows for reasoning over fragmented enterprise systems with production-ready eval harnesses and guardrails.
- Develop and enhance demand forecasting models using classical time-series and gradient-boosted approaches with rolling-origin backtesting.
- Wrangle and process messy, real-world data, including baselining, outlier detection, entity reconciliation, and ingestion from heterogeneous sources.
- Define and implement success metrics, including eval datasets, benchmarks, and monitoring for probabilistic systems.
Requirements
- 3+ years of applied AI/ML experience with systems taken to production.
- Depth in at least one of the following: time-series/forecasting and statistical modeling; LLM and agentic systems; large-scale messy-data engineering.
- Working fluency across several of the aforementioned areas.
- Experience building evaluation and monitoring systems, understanding metric selection, and avoiding leakage and train/serve skew.
- Strong product sense, translating AI capabilities into tangible outcomes.
- Masters degree in STEM.
