About the Role

SkyWater is seeking a Principal Technician Maintenance Mechanic - Fab Facilities FM to coordinate and manage a maintenance crew in a fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environment. This role involves ensuring efficient maintenance and repair operations within a large semiconductor fabrication facility, contributing to the production of essential U.S.-made semiconductors.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and prioritize day-to-day operations of the Facilities Trouble Call Team.
  • Professionally interface with customers for maintenance and repairs covering a variety of tasks in support of a large semiconductor fabrication facility.
  • Plan and complete tasks, both planned and unplanned, in the most efficient manner.
  • Order, receive, and track materials and equipment needed to support maintenance projects.
  • Work within defined technical processes and procedures.
  • Manage team costs and budgets.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 10 years of semiconductor maintenance experience.
  • 3-5 years experience coordinating a maintenance team.
  • Familiarity with clean room requirements and protocols.
  • Familiarity with high purity materials and fabrication methods.
  • Hands-on experience in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry and/or TIG welding.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills and follow-up.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Collaborative.
  • Organized.
  • Sense of urgency.
  • Able to learn and use software to order materials and equipment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to bend and reach.
  • Ability to climb ladders.
  • Ability to walk throughout shift.
