About the Role
SkyWater is seeking a Principal Technician Maintenance Mechanic - Fab Facilities FM to coordinate and manage a maintenance crew in a fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environment. This role involves ensuring efficient maintenance and repair operations within a large semiconductor fabrication facility, contributing to the production of essential U.S.-made semiconductors.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and prioritize day-to-day operations of the Facilities Trouble Call Team.
- Professionally interface with customers for maintenance and repairs covering a variety of tasks in support of a large semiconductor fabrication facility.
- Plan and complete tasks, both planned and unplanned, in the most efficient manner.
- Order, receive, and track materials and equipment needed to support maintenance projects.
- Work within defined technical processes and procedures.
- Manage team costs and budgets.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 10 years of semiconductor maintenance experience.
- 3-5 years experience coordinating a maintenance team.
- Familiarity with clean room requirements and protocols.
- Familiarity with high purity materials and fabrication methods.
- Hands-on experience in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry and/or TIG welding.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment.
- Excellent communication skills and follow-up.
- Attention to detail.
- Collaborative.
- Organized.
- Sense of urgency.
- Able to learn and use software to order materials and equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend and reach.
