About the Role
The Network Security Engineer will focus on the overall security and operation of the network, including reviewing and recommending cost-effective, efficient, and secure transfer of voice and data communications.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot network and telecom problems, identifying root cause and coordinating with vendors for outside support.
- Analyze and monitor network infrastructure.
- Install and manage networking and voice equipment, including VoIP systems, Routers, Firewalls, and Switches.
- Perform active network monitoring, security scans, performance tests, capacity planning, and historical trend analysis.
- Maintain security updates.
Requirements
- 4 year degree or equivalent work-related experience.
- 5 years of progressive experience in the telecommunications field maintaining medium to large infrastructure, switches, routers, and VoIP.
- Ability to plan and prioritize tasks and coordinate installations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
