Triunity Software is seeking a Mainframe Developer in New York City, NY, to work on legacy modernization and enterprise-level systems. This role is for individuals passionate about mainframe technologies who want to make a significant impact.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and related technologies.
- Analyze and troubleshoot complex mainframe systems for optimal performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable mainframe solutions.
- Perform code reviews, unit testing, and debugging of mainframe programs.
- Support batch processing, job scheduling, and mainframe infrastructure operations.
- Participate in system migrations, upgrades, and legacy modernization initiatives.
- Document technical specifications, workflows, and system changes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in mainframe development with proficiency in COBOL, JCL, and VSAM.
- Familiarity with IBM z/OS mainframe environments and tools such as ISPF and SDSF.
- Experience with DB2, IMS, or CICS is a strong plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills for interfacing with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
