About the Role

West Monroe is seeking a Senior Manager to join their Merger & Carveout Services (MCS) team within the M&A Practice. This role involves advising clients through acquisitions, divestitures, integrations, and separations, leading high-impact transactions, and advising executive stakeholders. The position also contributes to business growth, client relationship building, and talent development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex buy-side and sell-side merger, integration, and carveout engagements.
  • Advise senior executives, connecting transaction objectives with practical strategies.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams across various functions.
  • Guide complex analyses including standalone costs, synergies, TSA strategy, operating models, and value capture.
  • Own engagement scope, economics, staffing, quality, risk, and executive governance.
  • Leverage proprietary assets, analytics, and M&A methodologies to accelerate delivery.
  • Utilize AI tools to enhance analysis, synthesize information, and support data-driven recommendations.
  • Apply AI technologies to improve insights, delivery efficiency, and client outcomes.
  • Originate and shape opportunities with clients, expanding relationships.
  • Lead pursuits from opportunity identification through proposal development and client presentations.
  • Build trusted executive relationships and serve as an M&A advisor.
  • Develop an external network and strengthen the firm's market presence.
  • Advance MCS offerings, methodologies, and intellectual capital.
  • Develop talent through coaching, Career Advisor responsibilities, and team leadership.
  • Contribute to recruiting, knowledge sharing, and collaboration across practices.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of management consulting, transaction advisory, technology consulting, or related experience, with significant M&A experience.
  • Proven experience leading complex mergers, integrations, carveouts, divestitures, or transaction programs.
  • Demonstrated success developing client relationships, identifying opportunities, and contributing to engagement sales.
  • Experience advising C-level stakeholders and translating complex issues into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, including experience with transaction-related financial modeling.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing engagement economics, risk, quality, and governance.
  • Experience integrating AI tools into workflows to enhance productivity and insight generation.
  • Strong critical thinking to assess AI accuracy, mitigate bias, and ensure quality outputs.
  • Ability to travel 25 to 50%.
  • A commitment to inclusion and diversity, and openness to new ideas and perspectives.
  • Ability to work permanently in the United States without sponsorship.
