About the Role
Alma Bank is seeking experienced Universal Bankers for its Queens Region to provide efficient and accurate services to existing and potential customers. This role involves opening accounts, explaining and processing investments, and managing financial services.
Responsibilities
- Interview customers to obtain information and explain available financial services.
- Type account information and enter it into the computer system.
- Assist customers with inquiries and resolve account discrepancies.
- Process customer deposits and provide receipts.
- Obtain records from fraud reporting agencies.
- Contact customers regarding overdrafts and other necessary transactions.
- Maintain professional communication with staff, members, and external contacts.
- Handle all aspects of teller operations, including collections, savings, demand deposits, and loan payments.
- Receive and verify checks and cash for deposit.
- Cash checks and disburse funds after verifying signatures and balances.
- Record customer transactions and issue computer-generated receipts.
- Manage daily cash supply and count incoming cash.
- Balance currency, coin, and checks in the cash drawer at the end of each shift.
- Service automated teller machines and night depositories, including counting and balancing cash.
