About the Role

The Demand Planner coordinates and oversees planning, replenishment, inventory accuracy, and timely product fulfillment from vendors, with a primary focus on Bayshore Specialty Rx. This role collaborates with Intake, Fulfillment, Logistics, and Inventory Control teams to ensure accurate client order fulfillment, optimize order sequencing by region, and drive demand forecasting for future needs.

Responsibilities

  • Validate incoming orders in NAV for accuracy and completeness before fulfillment.
  • Monitor on-hand inventory to ensure sufficient stock for timely order fulfillment and proactively flag shortages.
  • Review, track, and manage backorders, ensuring timely resolution and visibility.
  • Assign geographic tags to orders for efficient routing and optimized picking/delivery sequencing.
  • Analyze order volumes to identify opportunities for consolidating customer orders to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Monitor inventory levels and usage trends to forecast demand, establish safety stock levels, and support replenishment planning.
  • Manage inventory impacts of cancelled or modified orders, ensuring accurate stock adjustments and reallocation.
  • Oversee the assembly and maintenance of product kits, including forecasting usage, monitoring component availability, and supporting configuration updates.
  • Conduct cycle counts and support inventory processes to ensure accuracy.
  • Track and manage fill rate / service level KPIs.
  • Identify root causes of missed or delayed orders and implement corrective actions.
  • Investigate customer complaints related to order fulfillment, inventory, or delivery issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Act as an escalation point for critical or high-priority client orders.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on inventory, demand, and fulfillment priorities.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service levels, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain an efficient, clean, and safe work area.
  • Support the inventory and warehouse team as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a warehouse setting with inventory management responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of various WMS or their associated concepts.
  • Advanced computer skills and knowledge of MS Office.
  • Must have strong communication, conflict management, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, organization, and execution skills.
  • Employees are required to wear and properly use all essential or required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Physical Requirements: Spend the majority of working time at a desk, with regular movement required throughout the facility, including standing.
  • Physical Requirements: Regularly lift, push, pull, carry, or move objects of varying weights.
  • Physical Requirements: Occasionally required to lift up to 20 lbs. unassisted.
  • Physical Requirements: Perform physical tasks including bending, twisting, and reaching to move supplies or other items.
