About the Role

The CDL-A Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely operation of company vehicles for residential, commercial, and specialized moving and storage services. This role ensures proper handling, loading, transport, and delivery of goods while complying with regulations and providing customer service.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers and straight trucks.
• Comply with all DOT, FMCSA, and company driving regulations.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain trip sheets, ELD's, and delivery documentation.
• Plan efficient routes to job sites and customer locations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during moves.
• Conduct pre- and post-move walkthroughs with customers.
• Address customer concerns promptly and communicate issues to supervisors.
• Direct and train crew members on safe and efficient moving practices.
• Monitor crew performance and promote teamwork.
• Uphold company safety standards and enforce compliance among crew members.

Requirements

• High mental alertness and physical stamina required for extended periods.
• Strong physical ability and agile physical coordination for lifting, twisting, and carrying heavy objects.
• Capable of repetitively lifting up to 80-100 lbs. unassisted and 100 lbs. assisted.
• Ability to climb repetitively and work in various conditions, including inclement weather.
• Extremely good safe working habits.
• Must meet Van-line and FMCSA Safety Regulations.
• Continuously subject to background checks, MVR reporting, and Alcohol/Drug testing.
