About the Role
The Server is responsible for providing gracious, kind, and warm service to casino guests, creating a sense of fondness with Old-World Hospitality and Charm. The role involves maintaining cleanliness, possessing extensive menu knowledge, taking guest orders, anticipating needs, delivering orders, and processing payments, all while focusing on consistency, quality, and a sense of urgency.
Responsibilities
- Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly quality service of drinks.
- Input orders accurately into the POS system.
- Comply with alcohol awareness training, policies, and procedures.
- Prepare set-ups and properly garnish drinks.
- Retrieve used glasses.
- Balance the server bank where applicable.
- Be punctual to pre-shift meetings with a positive attitude and participate.
- Consistently provide an exciting environment and World Class Service with Old-World Hospitality and Charm.
- Comply with department standards, guidelines, and objectives, including Food Service and Sanitation, OSHA, and Hazcom standards.
- Provide consistent high-quality beverage service by adhering to sequence of service standards and utilizing upselling techniques.
- Operate the Point-of-Sale System according to training.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of menus in their entirety.
- Clean as you go and clean spills immediately.
- Use chemicals as prescribed and responsibly.
- Ensure all chemicals are in properly labeled containers.
- Adhere to the 5S Principles: Sorted, Set in Order, Systematically Cleaned, Standardized, and Sustained.
- Conduct oneself in a gracious, kind, and warm manner, reflecting positively on the company.
- Deliver service according to management standards.
- Present a neat and professional appearance.
- Utilize working knowledge and experience with Infogenesis.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Attend required training sessions.
- Obtain required license(s).
- Perform duties in compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
- Have knowledge of ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the department.
- Have knowledge of the property’s programs to address problem gambling.
- Consult with appropriate individuals and maintain an effective system of written policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Investigate exceptions, fraud, and potential violations and report them to management.
- Report any acts of wrongdoing on behalf of any Team Member.
