About the Role
The Maintenance Manager will oversee building maintenance functions, budget, and vendor contracts for Dorris M. Vincent Apartments in San Francisco, working in collaboration with property management.
Responsibilities
- Patch and paint walls, trim, and ceilings.
- Clean, repair, and maintain appliances.
- Prepare units for new residents, including completing necessary turnover work.
- Perform routine plumbing and electrical repairs.
- Manage day-to-day maintenance functions.
- Assist with maintenance budget oversight.
- Coordinate and manage vendor contracts in collaboration with the property management team.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Three (3) years of experience in skilled maintenance work.
- Technical expertise in one or more building trade.
- Legally operate a motor vehicle.
Skills
- Work in a collaborative manner and in a team environment.
- Comprehend and communicate in the English language, both orally and in writing.
- Present information to groups of people.
- Perform basic math and understand measurement systems used in the trade.
- Read and interpret electrical, plumbing, and mechanical diagrams and blueprints.
- Draft working sketches.
- Use maintenance, trade, and testing equipment and tools.
- Effectively oversee work progress of vendors or outside contractors.
- Legally operate a motor vehicle.
