About the Role

Arlo Hotels, an independent lifestyle hotel, is seeking a dynamic Dishwasher/Porter. We strive to create a sense of awe that leaves those we touch wanting more.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand.
• Ensure all dishes, glassware, plastic containers, pots, and pans are put away clean, dry, and grease-free in a neat and organized manner.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks.
• Clean garbage cans with water and proper MSDS cleaning supplies.
• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition.
• Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas.
• Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
• Sweep, scrub, and mop floors.
• Ensure no standing water remains on kitchen floors, as per health code regulations.
• Refill paper towels and soap at every handwashing sink throughout the kitchen.
• Perform weekly deep cleaning of ice machines and daily spot cleaning.

Requirements

• Must have 2 years of experience as a dishwasher/porter at a comparable restaurant or hotel.
• Must have a basic understanding of the English language.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stay on your feet for 8 hours or more.

Skills

• Basic knowledge of sanitation procedures
