About the Role
As an Art Teacher, you will provide art education that follows the NYS standards to children grades K-12. You will report to the Assistant Principle (Principle) and you will work onsite.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and organize art materials and equipment.
- Provide therapeutic art instruction to individuals, small groups, and classrooms.
- Provide leadership in a variety of school-wide art events and activities.
- Work with school administration to deliver art experiences to students in a variety of school-wide venues on the agency campus.
- Provide subject area instruction (Art) that follows the NYS K-12 Art Curricula and provides students with appropriate level art lessons and age experiences.
- Develop and implement art instructional materials to provide individual and small group instruction to students of various ability levels grades K-12.
- Provide leadership to assigned teacher assistants in the various clerical and non-instructional duties or needed for your classroom.
- Follow school and agency procedures and policies for reporting incidents, including behavior incident reports (IR) and incidents such as child/sexual abuse, substance abuse, harassment, bullying, and violence.
- Follow all Agency policies and procedures, along with state and federal regulations pertaining to our school and students.
