About the Role
This role is responsible for maintaining dining room cleanliness, stocking supplies, and assisting customers with Kiosk inquiries and troubleshooting. The position requires attention to detail in temperature taking and food presentation, with an emphasis on teamwork and adaptability to various tasks.
Responsibilities
- Take proper food and equipment temperatures.
- Maintain cleanliness, appearance, and stocking of dining room supplies.
- Replace and stock beverages such as milk, soda syrup or cartridges, and ice.
- Restock condiments and paper goods such as cups, napkins, creamer, sugar and toppings.
- Place food on trays, baskets or dispensers for self-service.
- Restock grab-and-go areas with prepackaged items.
- Remove trash to dumpsters.
- Clean tables, chairs, floors, trash, and service areas.
- Use commercial strength chemicals to clean, sanitize and polish.
- Take ownership for the workstation utilizing student employee support.
- Assist with Kiosk questions and troubleshoot any Kiosk issues.
- Perform any duties as assigned based on business needs.
Requirements
- Lift 30 lbs. routinely.
- Lift 50 lbs. once a day to 10 times a week.
- Stand for entire shift.
- Stoop, bend, push, pull throughout a shift.
- Walk distances between campus buildings.
- Ability to perform a variety of tasks in a variety of locations and determine the order and sequence with limited daily supervisory direction.
Skills
- Computing skills to make cash change, take inventory, create # of pieces for a portion by performing adding, subtracting, multiplication and division.
- Ability to read on a level to comprehend product labels, recipes and safety instructions.
- Ability to interact with customers, coworkers, and vendors in a diplomatic manner.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member.
