About the Role

The College Access Program Associate supports the Program and College Access Manager in developing and implementing programming for high school freshmen. This role involves creating programming, providing individualized support to students, and managing a combination of synchronous and independent work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the curriculum of three Saturday lessons for the 9th grade CAP cohort.
• Instruct three two-hour Saturday sessions.
• Meet biweekly with the PCAM.
• Attend and support fall and spring family meetings and career exploration events.
• Attend the CAP college visit March 6, 2027.
• Keep regular contact with students and families.
• Hold office hours appointments with each 9th grade student and take detailed notes.
• Complete independent work as assigned, including instructional training and curriculum development.
• Support other tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Actively enrolled in and in good standing in a college or university degree program.
• Commitment to working with youth and a passion for education.
• Knowledge of trends in the college-going landscape.
• Commit to working through the 2026-2027 school year for an average of 15 hours per month from September through April.

• Outstanding knowledge of college-going trends and broad knowledge of available resources.
• Ability to deliver positive, constructive, and honest feedback, both written and verbal.
• Experience with curriculum development and implementation.
