About the Role
Transform technology into opportunity as a Test Engineer Associate at GDIT. Shape what’s next for mission-critical government projects while shaping what’s next for your engineering career. The work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the New York State Department of Heath Medicaid Management Information System. You will play a crucial role in supporting the eMedNY Systems Integration Team, you will be trusted to have an understanding of software integration testing best practices, experience with manual testing tools and have knowledge of health care claims processing.
Responsibilities
- Attend functional requirements definition and project design meetings as requested
- Provide effort and duration estimates associated with the testing phase of the SDLC
- Design and develop integration test plans and identify regression test scenarios
- Execute test cases and scenarios associated with integrating test plans for complex applications and processes
- Capture integration test results and generate test results documentation
- Provide and review test results documentation with the customer and other stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with Test Automation Engineers and other Integration Test team members
- Actively participate in project and team meetings
- Adhere to program testing standards associated with the creation and publication of testing artifacts and related documentation
- Stay abreast of industry testing trends, and remain current with industry standards and best practices
- Assist in production and other support activities, and ad hoc testing activities that may arise
- Perform research activities as assigned
Requirements
- Zero years of testing experience
- Experience in writing queries in RDBMS and Document-oriented databases.
- Working knowledge of healthcare
- Understanding of Waterfall and Agile SDLC methodologies
- Interpersonal and communication skills to communicate with customers, support personnel, application development personnel and management
- Ability to work in a team environment with multiple team members, as well as productively as an individual.
