About the Role
Red Nucleus is seeking a Senior Digital Project Manager to serve as the operational backbone of digital delivery, coordinating and managing the end-to-end process of turning requirements into planned, tracked, resourced, and delivered work for the Digital Experience team within Global Medical Communications.
Responsibilities
- Own the digital delivery methodology and standards, including ticketing standards, delivery cadence, and acceptance processes.
- Manage ticketing and task management end-to-end for all digital work, including creation, assignment, estimation, and tracking.
- Serve as the single point of coordination for internal digital product support, including intake, prioritization, delivery tracking, and stakeholder updates.
- Maintain a portfolio view across concurrent digital initiatives, identifying and addressing resource contention, sequencing conflicts, and prioritization trade-offs.
- Partner with the resource manager on developer and UX allocation and flag capacity risks.
- Run the internal development cycle and act as a process facilitator, leading standups, retrospectives, and cross-team syncs.
- Agree digital milestones with stakeholders and map internal development progress against them, reporting status clearly.
- Assess the impact of digital scope changes and present trade-offs with options and consequences to stakeholders.
- Absorb coordination and administrative overhead to allow senior practitioners to focus on core tasks.
- Operate with autonomy within agreed guardrails, making day-to-day prioritization, sequencing, and delivery calls independently.
- Determine appropriate team representation for client calls, balancing focus and necessary involvement.
- Own and report on digital team delivery KPIs and metrics, using data to drive prioritization.
- Own estimation and velocity for the digital team, establishing baselines and recalibrating as needed.
- Utilize AI-assisted tooling in personal workflow.
- Coordinate and collaborate across capabilities to ensure deliverables meet expectations, accounting for review cycles, client approval, and deployment requirements.
- Own the continuous improvement of digital delivery process, tooling, and standards.
Requirements
- Proven record leading delivery on complex, multi-stakeholder digital programs (web applications, responsive sites, interactive experiences, or platform work) over 8+ years in project or delivery management.
- Demonstrated ability to define and run software delivery without a prescribed methodology, establishing effective team standards and cadence.
- Experience holding a portfolio or multi-project view, balancing resource contention and competing priorities across concurrent initiatives.
- Strong technical literacy, including understanding of architecture trade-offs, API integrations, environments, and infrastructure dependencies.
- Product thinking, with the ability to decompose direction into deliverable increments and write clear acceptance criteria tied to outcomes.
- Proven stakeholder negotiation skills, including managing competing priorities, pushing back on scope creep, and articulating trade-offs in business terms.
- Comfort operating with autonomy, making delivery calls independently within agreed guardrails, and escalating with recommendations when necessary.
- Working fluency with modern delivery tooling (Linear, Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent).
- Practical familiarity with AI-assisted and agentic delivery.
- Comfort with AI-powered productivity tools in personal workflow and judgment regarding their application.
- Conceptual understanding of digital architecture, including CMS platforms, frontend/backend relationships, authentication, hosting, and integration patterns.
- Experience coordinating across a matrixed organization.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
- Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline, or equivalent vocational experience.
- Pharma, healthcare, life sciences, or regulated industry experience strongly preferred.
