About the Role

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Senior Project Manager Advisory to manage projects across transit and transportation, built environment, energy, and water sectors. This role supports growth initiatives through client relationship building, staff development, and contributing to the company's commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, coordinate, and work with technical and management groups in project delivery.
• Take accountability for project success and empower the project team to meet client objectives.
• Contribute to project delivery alongside engineers and technicians, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction.
• Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and project team members to meet project goals.
• Participate in the preparation of construction contract documents and administer project specifications and contracts during execution.
• Undertake technical analysis and prepare detailed technical and due diligence reports, consolidating input from subject matter experts.
• Review construction and engineering cost and schedule estimates during project development and execution.
• Support risk management for internal and external mandates.
• Lead the development of proposal responses, ensuring alignment with RFP requirements and client needs.
• Support adherence to compliance with internal performance metrics and business management systems.
• Maintain industry knowledge of current standards and procedures for project management and relevant technical disciplines.
• Nurture an innovative, challenging, collaborative, and high-performing work environment that supports digital tools and fosters company values.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a post-secondary degree with relevant work experience.
• PMP or related designation is an asset.
• A Registered Professional Engineer in good standing is preferred, but not required.
• Minimum 10-15 years of engineering and/or construction industry experience, with a preference for heavy civil infrastructure.
• Established relationships with infrastructure client organizations in the western Canadian market are preferred.
• Well-developed writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge and understanding of a range of procurement models.
• Experience supporting public sector authorities with strategic advice for infrastructure procurement and capital expenditure is an asset.
• Ability to build and foster positive working relationships with business partners, suppliers, contractors, and clients.
• Desire and flexibility to travel.
• Incorporates health, safety, and well-being in all actions.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
