About the Role
As our Finance Manager, you’ll play a key role in driving operational efficiency and financial precision within our Finance team. You'll lead our day-to-day Accounts Payable operations, manage month-end routines, and ensure robust financial controls are maintained across the business. This role has a direct impact on both team leadership and operational transformation, involving mentoring team members, modernizing workflows, and championing prompt supplier payments.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily Accounts Payable operations, manage direct reports, and assist with work prioritisation.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, expense reports, and regular payment runs.
- Own month-end processes including posting journals, performing variance analysis, and preparing Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
- Monitor and update Finance Operations policies while ensuring compliance with Payment Practices reporting.
- Manage the purchase order process across sub-teams while delivering training to ensure business-wide compliance.
- Support internal and external audits, manage workbooks to EUC standards, and perform quarterly regression testing.
Requirements
- A qualified or finalist accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with strong double entry bookkeeping and transactional accounting expertise.
- Proven in completing Balance Sheet Reconciliations, numerical analysis, and resolving discrepancies.
- Experienced in leading, mentoring, and directing team members in a fast-paced environment.
- Confident with modern financial platforms like SAP ByDesign and managing expense workflows in SAP Concur.
- Knowledgeable in corporate finance control frameworks, including Audit and SoX controls, alongside advanced Excel capabilities.
- Highly organised, adaptable to changing priorities, and skilled at building strong relationships with stakeholders across internal and external teams.
