About the Role
This role is responsible for the day-to-day management and strategic development of CACI's third-party data supplier portfolio, acting as the primary relationship owner for key data providers to maximize value and identify new opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations and strategic development of CACI's third-party data supplier portfolio.
- Serve as the primary relationship owner for key data providers.
- Maximize the value derived from existing data partnerships.
- Identify new opportunities to enhance products, services, and commercial offerings.
- Ensure CACI maintains access to high-quality data assets.
- Commercially manage supplier relationships, including negotiating contracts, pricing, renewals, and licensing agreements.
- Manage a significant data procurement budget, ensuring control, alignment with business priorities, and value for money.
- Provide line management for an individual responsible for supplier administration, contract management, royalty reporting, and licensing compliance.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight for robust supplier governance and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Previous experience managing third-party suppliers, partnerships, or vendor relationships.
- Experience working with data products, data suppliers, or data licensing arrangements.
- Demonstrable commercial negotiation experience, including pricing, contract renewals, and supplier agreements.
- Experience managing significant budgets and delivering against financial targets.
- Strong financial acumen, including forecasting, budget management, and cost control.
- Experience reviewing and interpreting commercial contracts and legal agreements.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships internally and externally.
- Experience identifying and evaluating new commercial opportunities and supplier partnerships.
- A self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes.
- High levels of organisation, attention to detail, and accountability.
- Experience working within a data, analytics, software, or technology business (desirable).
- Knowledge of data licensing, intellectual property rights, and data governance principles (desirable).
- Experience managing royalty-based commercial agreements (desirable).
- Familiarity with procurement and supplier governance processes (desirable).
- Understanding of GDPR and regulatory considerations for data procurement and usage (desirable).
- Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Finance, Legal, and Commercial teams (desirable).
- Ability to explain and negotiate complex commercial and contractual matters clearly and practically (desirable).
