About the Role
We are seeking a full-time Draftsperson with a strong background in fabrication and knowledge of materials to draft project shop drawings, 3D models, and CNC-ready files. This role involves coordinating drafting information flow with Project Management and Production staff.
Responsibilities
- Create build drawings to project-specific needs as directed by the Drafting Manager and Project Managers.
- Maintain the Drafting Schedule as set by the Drafting Manager.
- Create and organize Rhino files and corresponding documents.
- Collaborate with the Drafting Manager to ensure drafting aligns with existing build methods and clearly communicates procedures and designs.
- Submit drawings to Project Managers for approval and revisions.
- Assess potential material issues or structural problems.
- Send CNC-ready files to CNC operators and communicate for efficient cutting and delivery of parts.
- Identify ways to improve the efficiency and accuracy of drawings and documentation processes to maintain the overall project schedule.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required.
- College Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related drafting-based field, or equivalent years of experience in a similar position.
- 3 years of drafting for fabrication experience preferred.
- At least 1 year of direct and 2 years of indirect drafting experience working in a drafting environment preferred.
- Experience in the fabrication or construction industry preferred.
- Dependable, independent, and hardworking.
- Knowledge of fabrication methods and common building practices.
- Ability to produce ‘ready to build’ drawing sets.
- Detail-oriented and well-organized.
- Exceptional Rhino3D skills required.
- Skilled at multitasking and working toward multiple deadlines.
- Knowledge of CNC processes and operations.
- Able to communicate effectively with peers and management.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, or similar platforms.
- Must be available during core work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and work 40 hours each week.
- Extended hours may be required based on business need.
- Must include fabrication-level shop drawing examples in portfolio.

Salary/Compensations
- $35 - $40/hr
- Overtime opportunities available after 40 hours per week
