About the Role

In collaboration with patients, families, and staff, this role supervises the day-to-day administrative activities of the clinic.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and train Medical Admitting Clerks (MAC) at the assigned clinic.
  • Coordinate staffing levels to ensure proper patient flow.
  • Oversee daily registration area activities to meet department standards.
  • Ensure adherence to all personnel department policies and procedures.
  • Develop, recommend, and implement changes to administrative processes and procedures.
  • Respond to patient inquiries, complaints, and requests for assistance.
  • Secure necessary signatures for treatments, medical information release, and payment.
  • Ensure timely processing of billing, co-pays, and deposits.
  • Maintain and report QA statistics, including patient wait times.
  • Manage the purchasing of business and medical supplies within budget.
  • Collaborate with nursing and ancillary departments to foster teamwork.
  • Perform all functions of a MAC.
  • Provide coverage for staff during sick or vacation time.
  • Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Ensure timely and professional resolution of all patient issues.
  • Maintain patient information confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA.
  • Complete annual safety updates via the organization's computerized education system.
  • Ensure all patient care and administrative duties comply with regulatory and accreditation standards, including The Joint Commission and CommUnityCare SOPs and Policies.
  • Develop and maintain positive internal relationships with colleagues, managers, providers, and business office staff.
  • Interact respectfully and collaboratively with patients and families.
  • Collaborate with the care team in providing patient-centered care.
  • Represent CommUnityCare professionally in all actions, conduct, and communications.
  • Uphold and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, mission, and values.
  • Demonstrate a high level of skill in building relationships and providing excellent customer service.
  • Demonstrate a high level of problem-solving skill.
  • Possess strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to implement and evaluate administrative processes.
  • Ability to supervise staff.
