About the Role

At Donalda Club, we are seeking an Assistant Racquets Administrator who is passionate about hospitality and thrives in a dynamic, high-performance environment. This role supports the Head Racquets Professional to ensure the efficient operation and management of the Racquets Department, aiming to exceed member expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular duties while stationed at the tennis office, ensuring smooth process and operations.
  • Complete daily office & defibrillator safety inspections.
  • Provide courteous and professional assistance to member complaints and questions.
  • Assist with tennis and squash billings for the tennis department, including lessons, programs, events, and prizes.
  • Ensure staff are equipped with the knowledge and equipment to perform their jobs efficiently.
  • Coordinate communications and meetings with tennis staff to develop strategies for improving service quality.
  • Assist with materials for the tennis section for Sundials.
  • Inform service staff about upcoming events and information members may request.
  • Maintain good communication between members and the Racquets Department via various channels.
  • Facilitate communication between Tennis Court staff and office staff.
  • Assist in organizing ladies’ and men’s team matches and practices.
  • Handle tennis & squash court reservations and keep the online booking system updated.
  • Ensure the office environment is well-presented and office supply inventory is appropriate.
  • Assist members in finding cooperative partners for playing.
  • Perform additional tasks as specified by the Head Racquets Professional.
  • Brush and line courts as required to maintain high standards.
  • Promote Racquets Department programs, teams, events, and achievements through various communication channels and social media platforms.
  • Update Facebook with ladder pictures, group/individual pictures & videos, children's program pictures & videos, interviews, and upcoming events.
  • Post on Instagram & Twitter.
  • Update the website weekly with new events.
  • Call participants to complete singles ladder matches and update results on the notice board.
  • Update the notice board weekly with pictures of events.

Requirements

  • Completion of High School Education (Grade 12) is required.
  • Private club experience preferred.
  • Ability to comprehend departmental accounting and budgetary processes, prepare, analyze and summarize event orders.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Minimum typing speed: 30-35 WPM.
  • Able to work shifts - days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and under strict time constraints.
  • Punctual and reliable.
  • Well groomed, mannerly, co-operative and outwardly friendly (team oriented).
  • Candidates 18 years or older may be required to complete a criminal background check.
