About the Role
As the People Lead for EMEA, you will lead the regional people partnering team from London, serving as the strategic and operational anchor for the people agenda. You will coach and develop a team of four, partner with senior leaders across EMEA, and establish standards for employee lifecycle partnering. This role reports to the Global Head of People Partnering and collaborates with the VP of People and Talent in the UK. It is a 12-month fixed-term contract based in London, with three days per week in the Old Street office.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the team by coaching and developing four direct reports, setting clear objectives, allocating portfolios, and building team confidence in stakeholder management, casework, and commercial judgment.
- Act as the primary people partner to department and function heads across the region, while the team partners with their managers daily.
- Deliver the EMEA partnering strategy, aligning with the global model to determine team focus, support prioritization, and define excellent partnering standards for the region.
- Own complex employee relations, serving as the escalation point for sensitive and high-risk cases across multiple EMEA jurisdictions, and holding accountability for HR compliance and employment law risk.
- Design and govern people programs, including performance cycles, remuneration reviews, engagement initiatives, and audits, with the team leading delivery within their portfolios.
- Consolidate people data and case patterns into a business-wide narrative to inform decisions on workforce planning, performance, reward, and policy, and prioritize the improvement roadmap for people systems and processes.
Requirements
- Deep people partnering and HR advisory experience in a high-performance environment (tech, high-growth scale-up, or consulting).
- Experience managing and developing direct reports, ideally within a partnering or advisory team, with a commitment to growing others' capability and confidence.
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR compliance, with confidence to navigate employee relations across multiple jurisdictions.
- Track record of guiding senior stakeholders through complex, sensitive matters.
- Confidence using people data to identify trends, communicate insights, and shape recommendations.
- Strong program and project management skills across the employee lifecycle (performance cycles, remuneration reviews, audits, engagement programs).
