About the Role
As Legal Counsel at Zinc, you will own commercial legal work across a customer segment, including redlines, negotiations, and due diligence. You will support Revenue, Customer, and Retention teams with legal, regulatory, and compliance guidance, and collaborate with Product on GDPR compliance. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role with portfolio ownership from day one.
Responsibilities
- Own commercial contracts end-to-end for an assigned customer segment.
- Redline, negotiate, and close agreements and due diligence questionnaires across the commercial spectrum for the assigned segment.
- Carry direct accountability for revenue-generating legal work, including contracts and compliance.
- Act as the legal point of contact for Revenue, Customer, and Retention teams.
- Support Product on GDPR compliance.
- Handle ad hoc legal work including HR and employment matters, corporate work, and company secretarial support.
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with approximately 2+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Trained at a well-regarded firm.
- Seeking to move in-house rather than remain in private practice.
- Solid grounding in commercial contracts, redlining, and negotiation experience.
- Good academic background.
- Comfortable owning a portfolio independently without management responsibility.
