About the Role
Provide support to Hope House residents and create a hospitable and safe environment in the shelter.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to shelter residents.
- Monitor resident activities within the shelter.
- Complete daily Shift log checklist.
- Review and record the Communication Log each shift.
- Conduct security wanding upon resident admission and random checks.
- Monitor the physical facility by making rounds every half hour.
- Conduct periodic inspections to ensure rooms are clean and the facility is secure.
- Ensure clients are abiding by house rules.
- Make referrals to alternative emergency shelter providers when Program beds are unavailable.
- Maintain basic record keeping responsibilities.
- Perform electronic intakes in the database.
- Complete accurate time sheets in a timely manner.
- Check individual work email daily.
- Attend and participate in monthly Staff meetings/Resident meetings.
- Attend relevant In-Service training/conferences as requested.
- Complete all mandatory training (in-person and online) in a timely manner.
- Clean linens and maintain cleanliness of the facility (inside and perimeter).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Adapt to changes in duties, responsibilities, and activities as business needs require.

- Must be available for relief hours as needed.
